Has anyone been paid to curse on a handmade sign?

Actually I don't make any sign art that would include anything that might be morally offensive to the viewing public. There's always the chance that a child might accidentally be exposed to it and my religion strictly forbids me from sinning in such a manner.
I prefer to use appropriate words to convey my messages. A picture is worth several birds in the bush however.

I have printed such t-shirts for friends only, and I always tell them, "if anyone asks where you got this shirt, it's from the Internet".

I'd print anything, but would change the control panel language so the printer couldn't understand it.

I haven't really been asked to do that that I can remember. I think I had a guy once want some "stuff for his car" but he had a 1980 Chevy POS, and I didn't want to waste my time dealing w/ him. The way he talked he wanted some stuff like that.
I decided long ago that I wouldn't let anything leave my shop that I had to explain to my daughter as I drove down the road that was a conversation I didn't want to have. I would like to think lots of other parents wouldn't want to have those conversations too, but my generation is a bunch of idiots...so it wouldn't surprise me if they'd love that conversation.

True, but it is not a good look for a long standing business. I was asked to price a skin for an Adult Shop last week which I had no problem with but using profanity on stickers signs, or shirts is something else which is not always even funny.

I have actually cursed both a handmade sign and the guy who ordered it.
I have done some rather bare knuckle banners for sex shows tho.

I think you are correct Wayne, although I clicked on it expecting a conspiracy theory of some deep pockets bribing the S101 masses to give the new guy a hard time... but at that time, the first post was the same as it is now.. so maybe the title was the same too & the reputation of the OP made us both see what we expected instead of what was there

I had a porn client up north and one here for awhile the one here I painted a full dungeon with 4 pictures of poses on walls plus several pictures in other parts of store.
As far as what's seen in public NO does not want kids seeing anything near offensive.
I see alot of T-shirts with negative language plus the music and people swearing yup child's play if it gets to much or regular.

All the ones I painted were for personal jokes-
Funny, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to a big flying tampon on the TV.
-what we are exposed to is out of our control, I guess.
As a note, there were 2 VERY LARGE billboards displaying the word 'HATE', black letters on yellow, on I95 within a 3 mile stretch of eachother about a year ago. That is bad- And on the fourth, all the T-n-T signs on I95, there were more than 10 in about a five mile strech both North and South. Take your cheap shots EYE, it don't phase me.
The content of signs is a very good subject though. As traffic is definately affected in many ways by it. It's hotter than Hell in the summer here for outside work and I would not be suprised if some even worked for digital manufacturers on here. That is a very funny comment about the title though. I laughed. An intelligent and fun razz.
A guy with a fish place that I did a mural for had me hide a little guppy in the backgroung smokin a pipe with a unit hangin down. I also superimposed a guys face on john travoltas picture in a mural lifesize in his office with extra chest-hair, gold and pilot shades. He used that to get chicks.(?I'm still amazed by that)
And a friend once was cleaning his house so when he put his matttress outside, I showed up and painted a Big V%#^% on it because i thought it was trash!!! in 3 colors! No-body could stop laughing! He was ok with it afterword!
But that's about it.

I was asked to do a decal of the middle finger and the cross for a biker chick and told her to go somewhere else. I agree with signmaniac on this one. I am never slow enough to say that i need this job. Usually it is just one decal or one t shirt anyways, not a big customer.

maybe it's a Pacific NorthWest thing...but there are a number of pinstripers out this-a-ways that will put little stick figures running around on your pinstripe job, doing all kinds of carnal things to each other. (I can't explain it....maybe I can draw you a picture!!!) 
Anyways...I've been asked on more than one occasion to do this to my stripe jobs. NOPE!...but I do put a tiny, tiny rat on a surfboard or a chopper on my stripe jobs. (My own little 'homage' to Ed Roth)...and when people find them, they get a nice little chuckle out of it.
But I've seen these guys put them all over their stripe jobs! Now...if you've got some old 4x4 beater pick-up...fine, put 'em on that...but these guys will put them on mom's family sedan!!!???
And guess who finds these little stick figures??.....you got it, the kids!!!!
