Help clear coat peeled off during decal installation

"Expensive paint job", does not mean it was painted correctly, and 5 years is a long time for automotive paint.

During installation I've literally pulled sheets of paint off vehicles, the look on their faces when you tell them it's not your responsibility to insure that their paint sticks is priceless. I guarantee that my decals will stick, not that the clear coat, paint, primer or body filler will stick.

Customer did agree directly that it was a fault in the paintwork, so no worries about this one. They will re-paint the area and we'll letter it again after that.

Well good for you. Now you did tell the customer the paint will need to cure a long time before putting on a decal ( to out gas ) right?
