See, told you I was right. Any time Bob disagrees with you, then you know you're right.

And Bob, I think I'll take my thoughts about it all from researching it, rather than from you. Just because you say it's so, doesn't make it so.You love to educate others, how about spending a couple weeks educating yourself on how it works and then report back that it's still twaddle.

Yeah, I didn't think so. Instead of actually researching it, you'll spew your nonsense like it's the last word on the planet.

If you did actually read the posts, you'd understand that not ALL people that commit suicide have mental issues. Some, apparently like your mother, just wanted to do it. Well, just so you know, there other people out there in the world than your mother. There are many people that do have mental health issues and can't make the choices others can because of their condition. Do yourself a favor and stop putting everyone on the planet in one bucket.

It's not about "being close to the edge". What a horrible way to look at things. So you're saying we shouldn't care about old people either because they are closer to death? That's idiotic logic in my opinion.

Ever been around someone that has a mental illness?

So it's easy to speak in sound bytes on the internet and sound tough, but if you look into how people with this condition are (and my not have been diagnosed), it's easy to see how the actions of that joke could have caused her to feel like there was no way out..

OMG PLEASE! Can someone not play an freaking joke anymore without the whole world blowing up? It was a freaking phone call not an act or terrorism, no guns, no life threatened. this whole world of tip toeing is getting on my nerves.

My point was if THIS PHONE CALL was what it took to put her over the edge after being a nurse all these years there must have been something terribly wrong deep inside her. This whole incident is (like everything else these dyas) completely blown out of proportion.

And what if that "trigger" that caused her to commit suicide had never ever been activated because she spent the rest of her life not looking like a fool in front of her entire country. If that trigger never happened, then MAYBE (Stress MAYBE) she would have continued to live a normal life, continued to help people at the hospital, continued to be a good Mom, continued to be a good wife, etc.

It's not about tip toeing around and being politically correct. It's about showing people respect and not making total strangers look like fools at their expense, not yours.

If we did a practical joke on you, in the middle of the Mall of America, and we make you look like a complete moron in front of all those people, then we filmed it, put it online and it ended up on tv, you are telling me that you would feel zero stress from that? If that's what you're saying, I don't believe you.

Even the people that did the prank feel bad about it. Odd how the actual people involved feel bad and wish it never happened while people like you believe she was a weak link in society and needed to die anyway.

From what I've heard on the news reports the DJ's had nothing to do with her death, or any influence in it... Just "The wrong place at the wrong time" sort of deal. My prayers go to her family but there's no where to point blame for this.

It's better to have two hands than one glove.

Stop with he meaningless 'if only this' or 'if only that' nonsense. Your asinine speculations as to what might have been are unknowable fantasy. Try to stick with reality here, as difficult for you as that might be.

Regardless of your inane speculations, the point, you insufferable ninny, is that is doesn't matter what the provocation might have been, she and she alone is responsible. There is no provocation, none, nada, zip, zero, that justifies the act.

In this case assuming that a couple of people making a 'Prince Albert in a can..." telephone call pushed this specimen over the edge is a ridiculous stretch, even for someone with a tenuous grasp on reality such as you appear to have.

Like always Bob, you seem to be unable to understand the differences in anything. Calling Prince Albert in a Can jokes in doesn't make the person look like a fool in front of their entire country. BIG difference. The pressure caused by that is probably one you wouldn't wish upon your worst enemy.

Also, nice way to stoop to name calling. That's classy and always changes minds. Typical diversion tactic, I'll call the other person stupid, that'll move this conversation forward.

I just saw the interview of the two DJ's on some crappy Oz talkshow. They both were crying and the woman DJ said that is was"The worst phone call in her life" meaning the one she received hearing the news of the suicide, How do you think the nurse took that phone call you made? Croc tears mate!

I've known a number of people who managed to dispatch themselves, my mother for one,

sorry to hear that bob. also sorry to hear that the nurse killed herself over this. no matter the opinions, it always is sad to hear that a person took their own life as it is those left behind that are left to suffer and wonder what if or why.

Just my opinion, but DJs should stick to playing music and quit trying to be comedians and psychologists and the like. Most of them fall very short anyway. No doubt this woman had problems, but the djs have to take some of the blame, because they lied to get what they wanted. Best for them to find another line of work...
