It is cheaper for us to buy precut 12 x 18 or 18 x 24 and put them on the shelf

No way would I wanna place 250pcs. 18" x 24" panels on a bed one at a time. Much much lost time. Ya do 10 up , flip and repeat on the other side. Less handling and less babysitting.

I assume you meant this for me. I said less than an hour. Could it take 20 minutes? Sure. I could probably knock out 30-40 sheets in an hour if I rushed.
Was simply stating in an hour's time you could do quite a bit, like 100 signs which might be a typical order.

However ya wanna paint it. I doubt you'll get 40 full sheets done in an hour, but 25 to 30 would be more like it, if one is doing a higher than normal volume. Also, this all being hand done.

I never said 250 units . Most of my winter customers want 2 - 25 signs. They pay a good price per sign. I'm happy and they are happy. No one shops my sign prices and they are out the door .

Wall cutter from Fletcher or Keen. My flatbed operators cut 30-40 sheets an hour into 18x24 while the next sheet prints.
