Inside the glass or outside?

I am just curious, on say a commercial window do you like to install inside the space, or outside? I guess this could be weather permitting as well. The colors seem to pop more on the outside but is the vinyl more "protected" inside?

I am installing etched vinyl today, first time doing it on exterior windows...just curious what you all think.

90% of my install will be outside. But for etched vinyl, i'll go inside. I have a job near my shop made of etched vinyl, installed outside with a lot of sunlight. Been there for 5 years now without any problems.

etch would be best on the inside (2nd surface) durablity is better for sure, and the glass gives it a nicer look with the thickness of the pane.

Thank you, they aren't real strict around here. Inside or out, doesn't matter. I have installed in places that were inside only.

Sometimes both. A little background color accent and shadowing on the inside and main text/cut vinyl on the outside. Gives it a dimensional feel.
