Is there a way to emulate mutoh weaving on a JV5?

I think it's a matter of software. Maybe drivers, maybe RIP.

Anybody has some info about?

Thanks and best regards.
Robert.

You mean the "wave banding" ? Not at all. That's a Mutoh Valuejet only style of printing.

I believe it exists only to hide Mutoh quality issues that a properly calibrated Mimaki wouldn't need anyway.

We all know isign.... Mimaki users simply don't worry about banding. I mean, it's just all part of the job right? Banding is fine, heck.. if you squint a little you don't even see it!

If you were cheap enough to buy a Mimaki you probably don't give a rip about the quality.... so a Mimaki user never needs it, it's not a concern!

The Casinos in house shops use Mimaki, not for bulletin boards, those are are done through a preferred vendor. But I suppose Harraha's or the Grand could afford any printer they wanted. of course that's info from the delivery guy that comes here on his way to Tunica

take your best shot Flame... but really, you are missing an opportunity... shouldn't you capitalize on something like "foolhardy expenses"... instead of "cheapness"?

...after all, you do know us mimaki owners spent more than you, not less, right?

The 2606 or 1608 is the only thing that comes close to that. I guess you could add a laminator, plotter and materials, but thats still pushing it

Easy on the Mimaki assumptions buddy! We'll gang up on ya when you LEAST expect it. Have you ever used a Mimaki?! I haven't ever used a ValueJet, but I'm not knockin' it!

Its in the Mutoh software I have a toucan lt and it works great. JV3 & 5 are great printers also but I went with the Mutoh after talking to a couple of shops that have a jv3 and a LT. Both very good printers.
