Just finished loading . . .

So I just finished loading Adobe CS4 Design Premium onto my NEW computer with 64-bit OS Windows 7.

Surprisingly, Photoshop x64 crashes before it ever opens, but the x32 opens without a hitch.

Anyone else experience this ?

Any advise or suggestions ?

OH' Joy !

I was just telling AAG that out of all the programs on my PC, Photoshop was the only 64-bit program.

Why did I bother running a 64-bit OS ?

I don't know if the 32-bit apps will utilize any of the extra RAM installed on the machine.

lol... So everyone who is ranting and raving about Apple not having 64 bit blah blah blah and yet when you try in on as PC it doesn't work anyways? lol

I love shit working everytime I fire it up, I would toss that POS out the window.

Thanks,
Kurt

I know a while back there was a problem with the 64-bit photoshop when there were any 3rd party fonts that were not part of the OS or part of Adobe Fontfolio. As soon as it would get past the loading fonts part it would crash. Search the Adobe website for the 11.0.1x update, i think that might be a start. Hope that works.

Oh yeah also, if you have any plug-ins, remove them first too (they are not all 64bit compatible)

I think Rep is the one with the problem. I'm going to hold on to my XP
and the programs the work on it as long as I can!

It's no problem . . . the 32-bit version of PS works perfectly and ADOBE installed both versions, so it's not that big a deal.

I was just hoping, that's all . . . !
