JV3 160s height adjuster question

I am on with fitting a head height adjuster on My jv3 160s which was missing when purchased. Does anyone have a picture of how this is mounted? I have searched for hours and not found a single Image. The mechanical drawings for this machine are no help either.

Thanks

Are you talking about the head adjust as shown or was it removed from the printer carriage?

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
Take the head cables out of the printer with the machine turned off, unplugged and discharged. Also unscrew the two head lock shafts (black plastic with flat head screw tops) completely out. You will see two screw holes that do not have anything in them that match up with the metal bracket that holds the lever. There are two rectangular indents between the screws that match up with the protrusions on the back of the lever. Place the protrusions in the rectangular indents and tighten the screws. When you push down on the lever it should raise the head carriage up slightly. If it does, put the head lock shafts back in and you should be good to go. Sorry for no picture but this is the best way I could describe it.

Thank You all for the information and pictures/drawings.

I bought the item from Digiprint:-
http://www.digiprint-supplies.com/jv3-head-adjust-lever-assy-m006034.html

It fits into the indents as VanderJ states but the screw holes are not in the correct place.
The item does state "Mimaki JV3-130S / JV3-130SL / JV3-160S / JV3-160SP / JV3-250SP / JV3-75SPII / JV3-130SPII" which is all of them 3 and 4 head machines but does not fit.
I reckon this fits the 4 head machines but not the 3 head ones and Digiprint have made a mistake.

Would it be safe for me to tap some new holes (in the right place) to mount this bracket?

Thanks

I am not sure by what you mean the screws holes are not in the right place. Are they slightly off or not even close? Are there holes in a different place. If there are holes in a different place, then you might not have received the proper part. I would be very careful about where I drill and tap holes. One for unintended damage and two for the fact that the tolerances for these machines are pretty tight. If you don't have them in exactly the right place, it could very negatively impact your print quality. A picture of what you are looking at might help us to make a recommendation about whether or not to add holes.

Here are some pictures. (not he best quality)

It is as if the metal bracket is incorrect.
Do the 4 head machines have a larger one?

Thanks

I think you will find mine is a JV3-160S (3 head) not a 4 head SP.
By the looks of things the SP bracket is longer, which is what I have got.
