you can weld a patch on the back and as other poster said it will fix it but it will show up a little darker at night

+1 patch/weld it from the backside as suggested above. clients would rather deal with a dark spot at night, as it is cheaper/faster than a complete replacement.

at least you have a clean-cut line to fix. my last patch, was a 6ft burn hole from a welder's spark that fell 30ft. while setting a pylon and started a 10ftx20ft flexface on fire.
ultimately replaced the face, but the patch held for a month til we could make the return trip!
