Couldn't they send Hillary in there to explain to the gator why it is bad for the village to eat humans and then sign him up for gov't paid rehab instead of putting him down?

The gator should live. In most states it legal to use deadly force when an intruder enters your home...why should it be different for the gator. Dumb a$$ shouldn't run from the police, police there to protect him.

I dont think the guy was actually eaten. Usually, a gator will drown its prey, then wedge them under a submerged tree root or something. They prefer to let their food rot a few days before eating it. Gator teeth are blunt, not at all like a shark tooth.
