Looking for Aluminum

Hey guys I need to find a supplier for some aluminum. I'm looking for 5/8"x 5/8" x 1/16" BRUSHED aluminum angle, Like the stuff you can find at HomeDepot in 3-4' length.

I need about 1000' of it.

Anyone have any ideas? prefer a supplier in Canada if possible.

Thanks

Bill

Not sure what your application is, but I don't think you'll find it in structural aluminum. In architectural aluminum I don't think you'll find it in 1/16".

I found a supplier that makes it on a per/order basis. only issue is the minimum order it 250kg which works out to about 5700' I can buy it at Home Depot but it's rather expensive for a 4' length. I'll keep looking.

should cost about $300 for 1000 feet

I use eastern metal but they do not carry 5/8" aluminum angle, just 1/2 and 3/4"
1000 ft of 5/8" angle would be about 100 pounds.
Since canada is a huge country and we have no idea where you are at you can probably just order it from anywhere and get it shipped, it's not that heavy.
Aluminum currently sells for about $2 a lb whole sale, so figgure $200 for the material.

buy a $10 wire brush for your bench grinder and have at it.
Coat with a clear paint like
http://www.wholesalemarine.com/blog/2010/05/17/toon-brite-protective-clear-coat-faq/
about $100 for a gallon

it's not as durable as anodized aluminum but looks good and is easy to apply. but it stinks to high heaven
