Looking for Driver for MASTER XY-300P

I have read everywhere in the forum that just about no one likes the Master XY-300P but I couldn't beat the price... It was free. Something I can use to learn how to create vinyl signs and stickers. I am not looking to build anything large and when that day comes I will purchase me a good machine.

But for now am looking for the drives for it. I have sent a few PM's to people that have said they had one but have received no reply so I decided to post a msg.

If you have or know where I can get the drivers for the Master XY-300P, please let me know...

Really, wow, I haven't thought of that... I guess that is how I found this site. But then again I did ask a stupid question and should of known I was going to get that answer.

The driver for your cutter is on nearly every cutter software website out there. Go look and you will find. Even Cocut has their list of drivers for the hundreds of cutters on their website free to every one who wants to get them.

Google reveals a host of websites with all kinds of info on getting the driver you need and a load of software that will run that cutter.

master vinyl plotter drivers ,, is the key words you use to do the search.

I guess I should explain... I was looking for drivers for windows... Every site I go to has exately what you are saying, drivers for the plotter using their software. I hoped to find drivers so I could use Corel Draw but I guess that is not going to be how this will work. I guess I have to get some other software now. I poasted in another thread where I have Flexi8 but its for a Mac. I also have two dongles and no clue what software they go with.

Well,
this app shows that it supports your plotter (last page of the cutter list):
http://inkcut.sourceforge.net/
It's open source but only runs on Linux.
Might be able to be up and running on the cheap if you can deal with setting up a Linux partition on your system.

Thanks for the reply Wayne... I will give it a try. Haven't run a Linux box before but I will give it a try. (Update) After going to the site I noticed that it is NOT compatible with the Master...

Please keep the suggestions coming...


By the way Wayne, love Guam... I was there back in the mid to late 70's

Bret, thank you for your reply... I have now sent an email to Masterwarehouse asking for any assistance they can provide. I also sent an email to Flexi (ASi or what ever they are) to see if they could help me. I looked at inkcut and I believe it will not work with the MasterXY-300P but I can always give it a try. I am at work on Base right now and am unable to get to the ebay site but will look at it when I get home. And lastly... I will work with the driver detail file you sent me.. I think that will be the best thing for now... Again than you so much for your help. Anthony
