Okay I am getting there. Some disappointments.
The headboard will not be curved. Epic fail on the curve. I won't go into it.
The oak hardwood rails I thought was 2" x 3 quarter-inch but it wasn't. So some of my reveals will be off and my shadow lines will not be as dramatic. I think I'll just have to sleep with it.

But I am getting there.

I used a jigsaw you know old-school. I bought some intermediate 30 inch black vinyl and cut out the pieces for a pattern.
I apply those to the 4x8 and cut them out with the jigsaw.

I thought at first you were asking too much of those pocket screws in the corner but I think you are screwing the plywood "floor" to the perimeter runners also? If so, that makes good sense. I cant really tell, what material is plywood and what is solid wood? Are you planning to edgeband any of the plywood?

Very neat bed design! And great work.

Thanks John
I have Oak veneer on the edge of the plywood. And I have a solid oak rail along the sides of the bed.
The platform is attached to the sides on top of the inside rails.
I have Oak plugs and brown plastic plugs to fill the holes.
and that is the front legs that will be underneath the bed.

I think you're going to tip it over when you sit on one of the front corners. The bigger beds probably didn't have that issue because it was wider. You might need to broaden your stance supports. Looks awesome though.

Okay the bed is done finished and in the room.
Some disappointments. One, headboard is not curved and could be taller. Two, the rail is not 2 inches. Three, you still kind of see the front foot.
Number four, I went a little crazy with the toner.

Sitting on the front of the bed it's fine. Sitting on the side to the front of the bed with your feet on the ground it's fine lifting your feet up its fine. But if you bounce up and down you can tip the bed.
So barring everything from my weight suddenly doubling and bouncing on the front of the bed I am good. But when does that ever happen. LOL :)

when I started the bed work did pick up LOL and now that I am done it slowed down a little bit. So I think I have to come up with another project for myself. :)

Thanks for looking. and pitcher will follow.
