material width overide

I have a VP540, I have a roll of 27 inch perf, I have a job 25 inches wide.
I have a deadline to ship before Christmas.

My problems is when the printer reads the Media Width it pings up with 21.1 inches.
My print is cut off many inches short.

Is there a wise man (or woman) who can tell me if there is an override, magic handshake or christmas prayer that will save me from running down to my supplier for a 54 inch roll (ouch).

figured it out. it was the placing of the pinch rollers that tell the printer how wide the material is. Here I was looking for some sort of clever scanning device.
