Mimaki JV33-160 - missinG yellow

Yesterday, I did a dumper swap. Black to yellow and yellow to black. Yellow came out of the black position and black was out.
I forgot to do this earlier. So it is not a dumper problem.

open the ink cart.valves and bleed them for 10 mins. then a soft clean.

The trailing cables from the main board to the carriage are bad. I've seen this issue many times in the field.

This just happened to me, yellow too. Dampers are FULL, yesterday I had magenta drop out. I did a head soak, and magenta came back.. Now I am in the middle of a big banner job, and no yellow. One second it was print yellow, the next. Poof, its gone. You can see its like a switch went off on the print that was running.

How can I figure out if a cable is bad? I am in dire straits.

Your yellow print head might be dying on you.

Had a problem very similar to this with the cyan on our JV33 not too long ago. The color would just mysteriously drop, and then come back for minutes/hours/days and then it would fail again.
