How about a Fried Green Tomato BLT?

There's a place called the Purple Cow in Kingsport that used to have THE BEST Fried Green Tomato BLTs... they also have fried pickles, but I like my pickles cold

Y'all are making me hungry. Now I have to actually go cook because the ramen noodles I originally planned for lunch just aren't going to cut it after reading this thread.

Still I must admit to an aversion to soft shell crabs. Something about a meal looking at you while you bite into it that I never could get used to.

I don't eat the whole crab like that, A little strange if you ask me.

Oh and what's for lunch today? Crab cakes :)

Down the road they sell "real" crab cakes for $45 for 6....lol

Gino i lived in Bermuda for 20 years. Pretty much made me sick of most seafood. Always love some good fish, but it has to be salt water fish.. none of this bass, and salmon. My parents never ate shell foods, so i wasn't brought up on it, and can't bring myself to the smell.. or texture.. just not my thing.. pickles are just fowl. They smell like AIDS, and if AIDS had a taste, it'd be like pickles...
Now bacon... I don't like the taste... seriously.. oily.. Also for some reason in my head, i have a mental block against pig.. can't eat it..the smell.. and ew...

steak, chicken, turkey... all day. I eat a lot of vegetarian foods as well.. those protein meats.. they're pretty good. My Wife is vegetarian also.

Perhaps you should consult a professional.

Haven't been to Purple Cow in years.

Worked down the road for 3 years lol I was definitely a regular back then. Not sure if they are even around any mor - I'll have to ask my son - he still lives in the area.

As far as seafood - I live in Florida. I think it's a requirement, but I can't tolerate the gamier fishes. My nephews fired up some grilled shark the other night that was fabulous - one thing about my area (near the Skyway Bridge) is that there is no shortage of sharks!

Yeah, they are still around. I just rarely eat fast food anymore and definitely no milkshakes. But they are tasty.
