Mutoh streaks in green print. Help!

can anyone identify this problem? it seems to be happening in green (of course the color we have to print A TON of go figure). we have tryed heaters off, heaters on, cleaning the head, cleaning the rollers.. any silver bullet advice would be much appriciated!

Does it look the same in high head height?

its high and low head height unfortunately.

just checked. same in both. we are printing on 180cv3 and using flexi if it helps.

For the horizontal banding, it looks like it might be the way the material is wound around the core it came on. Try pre-feeding the material in a loop over the top of the roll with a lightweight core inside the loop to prevent a media slant.

You might also consider that at some point the material was left laying on its side and the pressure has left portions of the material with uneven thickness.

also seems to be happening more towards the head side of the printer not the far side.

Looks like a media problem, what does it do on other materials?

upon inspection, it would appear the platten heater is to temp in the middle, and no heat on the sides... especially the side that is banding the most.

any ideas? its a very noticable difference. the heat settings are what fellers recommends for 180c 40c pre, 42c plat, 50c post.

upon further inspection, the pre heater is the same way. hot in the middle, cold on the sides.

changed media. still doing it. messed with the heaters. got them working better. still, again still doing it.

weird, when that happens to us it's a bad profile, but I think you have that down, lol.

There are a number of possibilities....

Check temps - lower temps to 35/38/50

Clean all your hold down rollers- use denatured alcohol and let dry.
Cut off a square of media and clean it with denatured alcohol and let it dry, rotate it 90 degrees and print it.

Are you looking at alignments in Maintenance Mode?
