I have a mutoh vj1324. I flushed the print head in the lapse of ordering a new head and now the print head tries to print but will not lay any ink. It works on clean. I was told that the f2 fuse was blown.. I cannot find an f2 fuse on this board? am i missing it or what?

Not able to see anything could be the fuse blown or other reasons. If you did not take care this issue well, you might blew other components as well including the new expensive printhead. Please consult with the company who you purchased it from or have someone to come out to properly diagnose it.

You might still have factory warranty left. The dealer is obligated to install the parts under warranty. The Mutoh warranty for 1324 is 1 full year. Any Mutoh parts installed by a non-certified technician will not have any warranty. The warranty is only apply to the first owner of the equipment and is not transferable.

Did you find this. The fuse can be changed if you know what your looking for. There is a fuse that allows power to the head so it can fire. Normally they will be popped if you unplug power and do not hold down the power button for a few seconds to discharge any power in the capacitors before you start working on it.

They are hard to get to but look like a small rectangle cube. Black end goldish center. Shoot me a pm i may be able to find pics of it i have some left over. I think i have some pics of the location of this exact fuse as well.

Thank you for providing such useful information. Could you provide a photo here on the forum so it is searchable for everybody else. If you send me a file, I can help to upload it here. sales@premiercolour.com

You can buy everything you need to fix but fuses here.
http://www.solventinkjet.com/valuejet-1324/

Here is an image of where the fuse is at on the board.

The image is of a board off a 1624 but has the same board here exept the 1324 fuse is not soldered in.

Now let me explain how it is in here. Open the quick drawn out picture it shows where it is at. Ill get u a picture of the fuses, I dont remember of hand where i got them but they where about 1$.

F2 fuse location if I remember right on the 1324. Make sure after you unplug machine to hold the power button down for about 10 seconds. It will flash like it is going to power on. If not you WILL keep blowing that fuse. This is when you have to work on it. If you ever have to unplug the ribbon cables from the head for remote soaking or cleaning this is a must.
