My cutter woes - HS15 Plus

I spoke too soon, I can't believe I can be so unlucky with cutters. The HS 15 Plus we were using (borrowed) went into melt down mode today and tripped our main fuse box, didn't blow any of its fuses??. The power cord box/component almost melted. I'm hoping I can just replace the component below? I have a spare HS15 in bits so hoping it is the same component but these are easily available from RS.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and will it just be this component or have I probably fried something else? The two wires connected to it didn't seem burnt, will have to wait till Monday now to check the spare.

Anyway here are some pics:

Can't get rid of the smell of burnt plastic now :(

Replaced the component with a spare one from an old HS15 and it now seems to work fine. Fingers crossed.
