For cleaning the cap area. Standard flush fluid should do it. If you're going at it lightly is shouldn't damage the paint.

Another option which I had to use on my printer yesterday was rapid remover. use sparingly. Remove-o-paint-o.

So, does this print with a dithered pass or "intelligent pass" design. Or is it similar to an older dx4 machine that only does solid passes.

still has water in it. i've been slammed with a bunch of design work for massive projects. i did find the contact info for the parts. it's a company in florida called, prophoto. i'm going to get the works (encoder strip, slider board, sensors, etc.) because the chinese parts are really reasonable.
