My Roland SP300i doesn't print black and cyan after replacing new print head

Epson test them with water based inks, then they use a magenta coloured solution in the head for when it is in storage before being sold. It's not oil though, it is just like water.
The temperature too low message is what happens when a black head is faulty. The printer reads the head temperature from the black head channel, so if either the head is faulty, or the printer can't read it because of a bad cable it will give you this messageThanks

When you fit a new head it is always worth changing the cables as well as they are only cheap

There is no guarantee with any printhead once unpacked and fitted. This is why every step needs to be taken to insure no spikes when fitting them.
Never had a failure yet, touch wood and never had a printhead fail to print after installation..28 dx4 heads fitted since end of covid lockdowns..

If the dampers for the black/cyan head are older dampers, you should replace them as well. The O-rings in the bottom of the dampers have a tendency to enlarge over time and result in an air leak when placed on a new head. If you don't know this, it will drive you crazy trying to find it. If you buy the head from Solventinkjet, you should get the rest of the parts there.

The SP series are only 7 1/8inches.... Longer ones have to be bent to fit inside the covering.

This is true for the SP-300. He has the SP-300i printer. Head carriage design is different, and the cables are routed differently. I verified the length in the service manual. 330 mm.
