Hey guys I have an Epson s80600L and Graphtec FC9000 and lately I been getting a lot of work doing labels for people. Today a client came in and wanted labels made for their brand and the sample that he gave me has a metallic look, it's a print on mylar on this sample....see attached. My question is since I have a solvent printer is this achievable without a huge headache? Any recommendations on a calendared vinyl that would work for this? I have found cast vinyl but not sure if that would be to thin for a label or not. I figure if I can't get this done without having to purchase a UV printer then maybe I can find a regular gold vinyl and print black over it.....any advice helps THX

I would use RTAPE VinylFX, try printing just black if that doesn't work back with white.
when you say back with white you are refering to that if you see gold through the black ink then print white first then print black over it? Thank you

Big question, how much is the customer wanting to spend?
They are probably shelling out under $1 for a printed, folded, heat sealed, ziplok added baggie. I don't mean to knock your business, but are you set up to diecut 1,000 of these, fold and heat seal, and add a zipper? Here's someone's pricing chart on their custom products:

Agree, I have found that these types of requests are usually fishing expeditions, get a ballpark budget from them before you put in too much time.
