Neep Help With Repaint Of Old Metal Sign

Johnny & Grace,

The Lord adhesive we use for aluminum fabrication is 406/19.

On reflection, Lord adhesive may be overkill for patches for the PK housing holes on your rooftop sign. Clear silicone, or better yet, Lexel, is probably sufficient and far less expensive.

If your going to do patch work or fill holes with metal. Like a car, fiberglass patch and Bondo with fiberglass.

I once repainted a carousel on top of anold shopping center pylon sign. The characters were POPEY, and family, all made of flat cut out galvanized sheet metal. We used a very high powered pressure washer, worked like a charm.

Here are a couple photos of the final product, as requested. I had a lot of fun with this. Big thanks to each of you for pointing me in the right direction! Also, big shout out to Nova Color Paints!
