Neon & LEDs...which fail?

Which neon or LED manufacturer have you been using for your signs? Most importantly do you know how they have performed over time?.....maybe they haven't failed...but what if they just don't stay as bright as long as you thought they did...do you really know? How long do most LEDs & neon really last?...
