New computer - Corel Files Crash...

Recently picked up a new computer. Put the old drive into new machine and transferred all of the data over. Now easily 50% of our corel files won't open. If you try to open them you get a message "Corel X6 has stopped working"....The old drive is out of the machine, but not sure if I should put it back in and recopy everything...

did they actually copy over? or did it make shortcuts.

They must be the actual files. File property shows the correct size and I can see a preview. But opening causing it to crash immediately...

try updating corel x6 and or applying any patches that might be available on their support site,...I would also check with corel to see if this is a common issue and if there is a fix out yet,...

That is not good to hear.

I have X-5 and will also be purchasing a new computer very soon.

Any tips of how to transfer all the files without running into a mess?
