I'm a couple of weeks behind on this one but lets all welcome SAI International as a new merchant member here at Signs 101.

For those not familiar with SAI International, they are the former Scanvec-Amiable folks who bring us FlexiSign, EnRoute, PhotoPrint, Colorific and Cyclone software products.

Matthew Scher is a regular poster here and was in town last week on business. While here he stopped by for several hours to pick my brain and to show me the new fonts that will be included with Flexi 8.5 full and upgrade versions ... and he even sprung for dinner.

What really stinks is i just got flexi 8 a few months back...now i haft to pay to upgrade to 8.5 according to SW. and SAI ............how much is the upgrade anyone know? IMO if your flexi 8 program is less than a year old should get the upgrade free!!!!!!!!!!

I can't say I disagree with you but I don't know the cutoff times their policymakers placed on that. As a consolation, I can tell you that it comes with a bunch of top quality fonts including 89 fonts for The Fontry ... so your work will look better and you'll probably get on the cover of Sign Craft magazine as a result and then become rich and famous and have no time for your old buddies here at Signs 101.

All because you upgraded to Flexi 8.5!

Welcome...I have enjoyed Scanvec software from the start!

I think if you purchased Flexi 8 before september you can upgrade for free! I'll see if I can find the email I got, but I'm sure Matthew could clear this up!

Well to start they can blame sw for feeding me bull that Flexi was the ONLY program that could run a Mutoh. Wasn't too pleased with that.

I'm not going to tear apart Flexi (again), on this guys intro thread. I'll start another one someday or you can just PM me if you're real curious.

PMG, I feel your grief on upgrades! I bought Flexi-Pro 7.6 and then about 3 months later they come out with 8.0!! It may have been less and now I have to upgrade. Seems like my distributer would have at least give me a heads up instead of uhhh... uhhh. I thought upgrades were usually free as long as they were on the same version as in 7.0 or 8.0?? I love the program but had to take out a loan to buy it and can't afford to upgrade.
