Hola from Nawlins! When are you going to be here, and for how long? There's a bunch of great restaurants (naturally), and many are outside of the Quarter (most are touristy with okay food and inflated prices). You would probably get a kick out of Parkway Bakery & Tavern, an amazing place for po-boys (get the roast beef)-- they have a ton of old signs hanging everywhere. With the weather so pleasant, you should get on the streetcar at Carollton & Claiborne and ride it downtown and back -- it goes down St. Charles and passes in front of Tulane University and Audubon park. Further down the line on St. Charles the car passes in front of The Avenue Pub, a great bar with many beers on tap, some hand pulled selections, and truffle fries. If you are looking for an extra special date night dinner, I would go to Lilette on Magazine street and order just from the appetizer menu -- be sure to order the crab claws in passion fruit butter; outrageously good! Music-wise, Frenchmen Street has a bunch of bars near the Old U.S. Mint that sport a variety of genres (jazz, rock, latin). Depending on when you are in town, we might could meet you for a beer somewhere. Cheers!
