Looks like the self proclaimed "model of the world" is getting restless in lockdown.

they are an interesting bunch

at one time almot everyone in Australia was a descendant of a prisoner from botany bay penal colony. (ronnie biggs was something of a national hero)

they have become something of a wishy washy bunch lately, according to the news but they still have a stubborn streak in them

ask mel gibson

Australia is not New Zealand.

It's all fun and games until you're on a hospital bed with large metal tubes in your lungs keeping you alive with your butt in the air with a sticky diaper on your butt catching all your projectile diarrhea.

This site is so stupid blocking the word a_s_S

they protecting those of us with delicate sensibilities (although many of us have heard worse)

you realize the misuse of the long metal tubes (as well as the misguided actions of my governor and new york's) caused many of those deaths

we got better with practice and now have a death rate around 1% (it also helps keeping governors murphy and cuomo handling garbage pickup schedules)

Source: dude trust me.?

Australia is a completely different country to New Zealand.

The English only sent prisoners here after they had to stop sending them to America so maybe you people are descendants of convicts.

Ronnie Biggs was English and never considered a hero here.

But ok.

the continent was and still is referred to as austrailia in this country.

i am very well aware they are different countries

no offense meant

upon reading wikipedia (who are shameless liars, but have nothing to gain from this question) ronnie was only in austrailia for about 3 years. i guess my high school history teacher told more popular folk lore than fact, i stand corrected

thank you bly

I have to throw in with my fellow islanders here but we are taking it hard in the shorts right now.
We went from 300 cases with 6 deaths last month to almost 2000 cases and 25 deaths. We are so small contact tracing is just one big red blot.
We are in an extended lockdown with no real end date in sight.

we were one of the two big hotspots in april and may, so spring was not great for us

we had it first, in this country, and a lot of the problems were caused by lack of experience,
now the death % is down to 1% or less. if april it was over 8%

they have learned how to optimize the use of ventilators, come up with drug cocktails,

You guys are tough on the quarantine down there... Governor is forcing travelers and people into mandatory lock down.

Think it's a case of closing the barn door after your chickens have come home to roost..... however that goes.
We are a closed ecosystem here so isolation is next to impossible. Everyone has to go to pretty much the same places for critical supplies - we only have one Home Depot no Lowes or other bigbox stores. Luckily we have a bunch of McDs and Wendy's to maintain our curves.

On another note - you getting any of this sweet billboard work with your new lift?

Those billboards should be up to warn people of Austin regardless of defunded police or not.
