Omega 3.0 Communication Error

Just purchased Omega 3.0 to cut final date stencils for monuments. I'm cutting with a GS15 connected with a 25db cable to a desktop with Windows XP. The error message reads ...Communication Error GS15(com1 spooling.plt(40). Not familiar with Omega but I at know that spooling is for multiple layers and I just need one. I'm not getting any were with Gerber since it is no longer supported, but it seems like a simple fix ..Thanks for any help

the data is spooling to a com poprt.. Do you have your machine hooled to a com (serial) pprt?

It's set Com1 and is 25 pin on the pc side as well as the plotter side.

are you sure its hooked to the come port on the PC..??
Do you have the corect null modem cable?
