Onyx 12.2 Cut Server not sending jobs to Summa cutter - in need of help please.

Have an issue with Onyx (12.2) CutServer not recognizing Summa Cutter so no jobs being sent to cutter.

Summa Cutter is on "Summa USB port 1", I have tried all Desktop USB ports with no luck.

The errors in C:\Onyx12\CutServer\bin\error.log are:

[August 3, 2020|7:00:55 PM BST] (ERROR) There was an error trying to close the driver

Not sure if you had reloaded software leading up to the issue, but open the Summa Cutter Control software and check that USB port 1 is selected.

After an Onyx upgrade I had an issue where nothing was being sent to the Barcode Server.
I know you're not using that but there was a setting in Onyx Cutserver that wasn't selected so no data was being sent.
Could have been in the cutter config settings but can't remember for sure.

How long has this been going on? After an update or is this the initial setup?

This is a new Dell Precision T1650, Core i7-3770 @ 3.40GHz, 16 GB RAM with fresh install of windows 10 Pro 64 bit, followed by Onyx RipCenter 12.2 patch 3, Summa Cutter and USB Cutter drivers.

It was the same problem in Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

Summa cutter added in Onyx CutServer on port 1 (and then other ports as this did not cut files).
We can see Summa cutter settings ("Summa USB port 1") via Summa Cutter Control webpage

We can print using Onyx 12.2 to HP 315 and cut file is available in Onyx CutServer but nothing happens when we click on cut

I would try to re-install the summa usb driver.

I will give that a go on current windows 10 but I did reinstall Summa USB drivers on Windows 7 before and that did not fix issue.
I'll update when I have reinstalled Summa USB drivers.

The summa cutter is visible in Summa Cutter Control webpage - so the desktop can see Summa cutter settings and we can change them, its just the Onyx cutserver does not send any jobs.
