Onyx SignEZ...can it be installed into windows 7?

My windows XP motherboard just went out. I use the Onyx signez program that came with my HP8000. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck installing this into windows 7. When I try to install I get a message ''You have to run the 64 bit version of DPInst.exe on this machine". Help...

Sounds like you are installing on a 64bit version of 7....you have to install/run it in Compatibility Mode (for backwards compatibility). Pretty sure EZ is ONLY for 32bit Windows.

if that doesnt work you can do a virtual PC on your windows 7 that runs windows XP

Be aware that you have to have Pro, Ultimate or Enterprise to do this method (well to get XP OS for free anyway to run a virtual OS).

Luckily, I do have windows 7 pro. I will give these ideas a try. Thanks
