Phoenix Heat Press repair, I "think" I know what it is

I finally got the time to mess around with my broken heat press, It's not heating at all, I tested the 2 main wires with an ohm meter and there is power going to the upper clam, so that part is ok, now my next guess is the thermostat controller, I order one from stahls for $32.00, I had it shipped overnight.

Im about to install it, I got my fingers crossed

power going to wire does not mean its good.

Is the heater coil wire showing the proper resistance? (closed circuit)
Is it showing no resistance? (open circuit)

Is it showing some resistance? ( broken wire but touching just enuf to read something)
