Printing on chrome vinyl with edge printer

I do not have the material in stock. But I was wondering if I print a spot color on chrome vinyl with my edge, do I will see the mirror effect thru the spot color? Or do I must use a translucent foil to achieve this effect?

I've only printed on reflective. I needed to use translucent to achieve the effect.
So I would think you would need to use translucent and I'm not sure of the result you would get

Depends if the foil you use is opaque or transparent.

I've never had the chrome come thru spot black

I usually do a double print on colors. Black is opaque enough you wont need a double print.
