Printing white on black foamcore

Anyone had any issues printing to black foamcore with white ink? We are having some issues where the white ink is "soaking" into the black foamcore.

Maybe try either turning up the light intensity...or you could change the shutter sequence so that both lamps are hitting it at one time.

Can you give them some sort of clearcoat prime ??

Some machines have a varnish pass which can sometimes compensate for ink wicking out.

is it a quality foamcore that you are using?
if so, the answer might be as simple as having your lamps on high. if you have that option, not sure what printer you are using.

We gave up on this. I hit a piece of black gator with over $10 of white ink and the board still looked like thin newsprint. I use white/black/black ultraboard or just apply adhesive vinyl and print or vise versa.
