Quickbooks forcing upgrades

got an interesting notice this morning when logging into QB

"on 5/31/14, payments services will no longer work with your version of quick-books"

so for all of us that use Intuit as the merchant service provider, you are either forced to upgrade or have to get a 3rd party merchant service provider.......

They have been this way for a while. They support the current version and the I think the year before. Anything older they will force you to update. They do this with the payroll service as well.

They "sunset" their software after 3 years.

I may be crazy, but I stopped using it because of this.

I dumped them years ago when they started over charging for the tax table updates.

IT simply is not worth it when quicken will do every thing needed and then have a cpa handle all the other stuff. Way much cheaper.
