Realty Signs...Anyone seen any like this?

I was asked to quote a price on 20 realty signs like the one pictured. Never have I ever seen anything like it, very cheap and unprofessional looking in my opinion. They are a banjo frame with a screen printed plastice of some sort slid over the top. It is 2 pieces of plastic sewn together. Then the rider is made the same way just a little bigger.

I plan on pricing out a good real estate frame w/ aluminum faces but I know already that they will be saying "but last time they only cost $xx" and "we want them all to match".

So I guess my question is does anyone have a source for the signs for these?

Oh and they also informed me that the company that they got them from is no longer in business.

Probably because they were cheap. I think those were screened. I would cost out a frame and alum sign also. They look better and hold up pretty well.

Before you do much work (research, etc.) qualify your clients budget to make sure you are not "spinning" your wheels......

Quote them on what you make.
Hopefully you have an example to show them your better quality, longer lasting, and most importantly, professional looking sign.

Trust me, you dont want to waste the time and effort chasing down lower quality products made by defunct crap merchants.

They look to me like polycoat all weather fold over signs. We sell these although we staple them, not sew them. These should definitely be considered temporary signage

I have seen some that were just banners printed and folded over, sewn up the sides and grommets at the bottom to zip tie them to the frame. Yes they are cheap looking, but very easy to do. Realtors only get cheap signs when they order a lot at a time, especially when they are customized with Names and phone #'s. If they want only a few they can't get them screened.

I know they have the money for some nice signs but as we all know these realtors are almost all out for cheap, even if it is junk. I'm just going to price it how I thought and either they want them or they don't. And of course they are out of signs and couldn't hardly spare this one so that I could give a quote.

I bought my house through an agent I know at this place and they didn't give me a discount so guess what...it works both ways.

I don't remember right off hand, but there is a father-son co in Detroit Michigan that makes those for elections. Name started with an S. Saroweski or something like that. Dirt cheap. both the work and the sign.

I just left a central mls office. This is the mls big cheese of all regulating body office.

The realtor store has all the signs and frames, boxes, list boxes, stakes wires and other goodies you can imagine. I was just there. There are signs of all types in that place that are selling for cheaper than you or I could get the materials even if we bought a truck load. I have a photo of just one small area of the place. This is the elephant graveyard of all sign supplies. You know the mythical place so many speak about and heard about but never saw...

No one will be able to compete against this type of place. That is unless you are far enough away from it to make it not worth the trip for the realtor. I mean $4 bux for a yard sign cheap.

Quoted real estate frame and aluminum, told her they looked way more professional than what she had before. Her response was "we've had lots of comments on how good our signs looked, everyone want to know where we get them from".

Long story short, real signs are out of their price range, now we are quoting coroplast.

Funny as this place is a good size operation, numerous sub-divisions, built the extreme makeover house here, worth millions but can't afford decent signs. I'm sure the same logic is used when building all of their spec homes as well...cheaper=better.

What a freakin' joke. Why do I even answer the phone when a realtor calls.
