Thanks Colorado and Marlene! I glued up (3) 2"x12"x12' western red cedar for the long portion and glued up (4) 44" lengths for the circle. This time, I used the router table to hog out all the blasted area to .3" depth, then came back with the sandblaster to raise the grain. It gives a nicer uniform depth and saves a ton of time and black beauty grit. After that it was prime and paint. I used PL glue and counter sunk 1/4" lag bolts from the back of the sign to attach the circle logo.
