There is a QR Code generator included in InDesign.
Just clic in the menu: Object - Generate QR code...
Most of you probably have the Adobe suite.

Joining the zombie hoard, I'm curious how something like this one gets generated, aside from AI as an answer. Is the idea to make the qr code as simple as feasible, then sketch around it and keep the contrast high enough to still function? This one was exceptionally impressive, as the water flowed and the rest of the scene was animated.

Yeah, I about spit my beer all over the screen the first time it came on, I figured it was old hat by now. Here's the commercial in motion.
I'm wondering if some poor sucker had to verify the commercial frame by frame, just to ensure the bird flying in front didn't send them to... idk what is considered embarrassing anymore, disney just released 'wicked' dolls in boxes that listed a website that disney did not own, which was a 15 second blurb on the news.

Arial Sucks.
I like the QR code creator built into CorelDRAW (the barcode creator in the app is also pretty good). The resulting QR codes in CorelDRAW are vector based. You can place logos or other symbols in the center of the code and validate the results. The QR Code can be created with some different standard shapes. With a bit of trickery using the Pointillizer tool in CorelDRAW it's possible to change the standard square shapes in the code into other custom shapes (such as squircles). Be sure to test the results though.

Adobe Illustrator does not have a built-in QR Code generator.

Adobe InDesign does have a QR code tool, but the code generator is fairly limited compared to the QR code tool in CorelDRAW. Plus the vector dots are very oddly grouped and compounded, which makes it a pain to change colors in the resulting QR code. The codes created in CorelDRAW are much more clean.

I sell stickers and sticker accessories.
I have a thermal barcode printer and I just use that software to generate all types of barcodes and print them to a vector PDF.
I also use it to generate a multipage PDF for variable print on my Mimaki.

Affinity Designer even has a real quick & easy one built in. Options with associated extra fields include text, url, phone number, sms message, email whatsapp, facetime, location, wifi credentials, vcard.... Use it for url's all the time, have tried out some of the others, have done signage & decals for places (bars restaurants, etc) with their public wifi credentials, all work as expected for me. Before Affinity, Serif had a really good one in their Draw Plus app, as early adopters I'm surprised it took them as long as it did to incorporate it into Designer.

I've recently been (almost) running into issues with trustworthy QR code generators. Who do you use/trust for generating QR codes? I do NOT want to use one that is a forwarding QR code, that goes through a 3rd party website, just simple QR codes that take you to your destination.
I've been using www.the-qrcode-generator.com As long as you have it make a static QR, (No tracking and responding - that costs money and must be renewed after time.) It just directs one to a website. It should work forever as long as the same website exists.

QR codes are not website dependent unless tracking is enabled. Always use a decoder to verify the data stored in your QR code. It should only be the info you added and nothing else.
