remove rivets... how?

I really don't think he meant to actually remove the rivets... Im pretty sure he meant he cuts off the vinyl that covers the rivet.


Actually we use a square bit to remove them. A star bit will never fit properly, according to the trailer rep I talked to, the square bit IS the proper fit for them.

I use an 8 sided star drive bit that is actually meant for removing stripped screws, but fits perfectly.

Thankfully more trailers use VHB these days.

I'm sure it voids the warranty...but it's an easy risk to assume. There's not a whole lot of warranty needed to cover the side panels of a trailer.....they're not real prone to failure.
