CoPeck tool 7.1 is available on Roland's website under the VP series download section if that helps. VP-540 Downloads it's at the very bottom.
Hello, I also am replacing my mainboard on my Roland VP540 and have learned that only a certified Roland technician has it. I have been using a guy who works on printers, but is not certified through Roland and he can't get it either, so I have to get a Roland techy out here to work on it. Whatever you do, DONT remove the wiring and board before you get the tool to get the info from the old board. I have been to a couple of websites (myversacamm.com - the guys post should still be towards the top) and learned that that is the worst thing you can do and to fix it, I don't even want to explain. it should work on VSI, what error are you getting? you need to start printer in update mode by holding down up, left, and down and press power

You shouldn't need the peck tool for that if you put the same board back in. Are you getting some kind of error now that you've reinstalled it?

All of this is beyond our knowledge, when we removed the board to solder a capacitor on, yes all power was off and unplugged, we use Versa Works 5.5
