Why is what happening?

Are you referring to the grey area around the trout? If so, it's not a printer problem, but rather a problem with the image.

No it's a Brown Trout, but it has a rainbow running through it

if you spin the image 180 does it do it in same spot (tail) or same spot (end of print)?

It looks as if the color channels have a gap in them, you can see the image along the tail fin continues at the first color gap, but just the cyan parts of the image.

might want to re-run environment adjustment and all the print head adjustments again and see if anything is off. what does your nozzle check look like?

clean linear encoder disc? it looks like the cyan 'hiccupped' 1 full pass at the initial problem
