In general Shanghai shows don't compare to Guangzhou.
ie: East China Fair vs Canton Fair.

The majority of the factories are in Guangdong provence and the new
Guangzhou convention center makes Shanghai Expo look like a parking lot with temporary buildings.

The only direct flight US to Guangzhou is China Southern from LAX.
Can fly to Hong Kong and take train to Guangzhou or fly to
Shanghai, then onward to CAN.

Have been to going to both Guangzhou and Shanghai trade shows for over 20 years.
Not for printing, but both venues can be good.

You gotta really see what they got going on.

You will enjoy your trip to China and also will be very financially rewarding.
Just have to make sure to research which show will be best for what you are looking for.

You will be amazed at the wealth of the Chinese and might even think the US has become third world. That sucks when you see with your own eyes the transfer of wealth.

They mention about the intense heat and humidity.
The show better quit being so cheap and run the ac 24/7.
The print heads will dry up at 120 degrees inside those tin
Buildings. Not to mention the buyers passing out.
