Rick, the city has nothing. Come to find out it was a (under the table political job) non permitted job when it was originally installed. The city has nothing on record. But no, the sign was originally 25ft tall, then Lightning Fast Signs chopped off 6ft. of the top of the original pole. According to them, the existing pole wouldn't hold their new LED board they installed. LFS did not tell the owner they had to chop off 6ft. thus putting the sign below the tree line. They butchered the entire job but won't go into that...........Nonetheless we are now instead going to remove the new LED board, abandon the now shortened pole and moving the sign 6ft east and installing a new footing and 12" pole going back to 30tf tall....(engineered by Nationwide Sign Engineering). I am a licensed builder / sign shop in three states but when doing jobs like this we always get an Engineering Co sealed prints. The safety and liability is a huge factor. I originally asked, does anyone know a sign engineer because the one we used retired.
