Skip white space when printing

Hi
I have a SP300 and when i print a design which is smaller than my media width, then the print head travels left, till the end of media.
Is there a way to skip this? Its time consuming.

Put the end pinch roller inside farther.

not familiar with that printer, but see if there is a full-width scan setting and turn it off.

Tech told me the reason for a full width scan was for ink drying when using take up reels. Sounds plausible.

shouldn't have an issue drying, but it doesn't hurt to try!

At some speeds (some profiles) on our xc-540, we need the time of the full scan if we are using the take-up roller. This is especially true if printing on a stock with a non absorbent backing, ie. banner...
