Software won't install?

Hello,I have a year old Gateway computer with Windows XP, I tried to install my older sign software Ultra flex that I purchased 3 years ago, but it won't install, when it's trying to install it times out. Its get to about 40% then nothing? Also it's installed and working on my main computer that's also using windows XP? Any help would be great!

Are you logged on as administrator? Do you have the firewall and antivirus programs disabled?

find all references to that program in your registry and delete them all,
delete any folders of that software too,, reboot.. then try again

You might want to check your install disk for scratches also...............
