SP300 USB Problem

Hi,

I am unable to connect to my SP300 today.... I am getting the windows error "USB Device is not recognised"

At first I thought it was the cable, so tried about 3 different cables just to be sure. Didnt work. Reset the computer and the printer, to no avail.

I have also tried this on our laptop and got the same error.

Has anyone struck this before?

Thanks heaps
Rob

Is this only happening with the printer, or other periferals?

Do you have any bangs in your device manager?

I know you said you tried on your laptop , but it's still good to double check.

Thanks for the fast replies, no other usb problems, other devices are fine. Device manager is OK too....

Thanks

Are you plugged into the same USB port as before? I know sometimes the computers will think it's a different device if you move the cable to a different port.

If you are using a USB HUB it might be deffective.
Also, like Chris mentioned, if you plug into a different port, I have seen sometimes I've had to refresh my driver.

Also when you power cycle the printer, make sure and turn the side switch off as well.
Not just the front power.
