sp540v printing problem

I was checking the damper because I am about to replace those and the black/cyan head. but didn't remember to turn off main power just the sub power. the ribbon cable moved and it sparked. I Checked the f2 fuse and it was blow so I replaced it now its printing cyan constant.

If the ribbon cable sparked could it be bad?

bad data to cyan head. check the cable and connection slots

I switched the black and cyan cables and its still doing it on the cyan. So if its not the actual data cable what could it be?

Beside the fuse burning there is 3 pin IC on the board mybe it's burning too you need a tech chek your board.

Thanks i will check out the service manual for the 3 pin IC and see if there's any physical damage

you could have fused 2 pins together during the 'spark' on the cable insert @ cyan head as well

Thanks that's exactly what happened! 2 of the pins on the ribbon have fused and I didn't notice it because I was in dark lighting! thanks for your help!

Were you able to fix the fused ribbon cable (separating the pins)?

Did that fix your printing problem?
