Staples is selling vinyl?!?

Since they are a rather large company, I'm sure their buying power is immense and since there are 15 stores in each town, you can probably find that roll of vinyl ya need in a hurry and only cost ya a few bucks to go pick it up.

The question really is....... is the vinyl what you want ?? I mean really, how many shops are buying 15" punched these days. About 95% of our vinyl is now all white.

That price is for their "special effects gold film" .... the prices on their regular vinyl are much less.

Now it will be customers showing up with a roll of vinyl they bought at staples....uhhh, no thanks.

+1... I can hear now how customers are going to question why prices are so high since they think that all vinyl prices are this cheap....even though I don't use Avery....

That whole scenario is easy.

You don't take your own brakes to the auto mechanic to be fixed
You don't take your own eggs & bacon to the restaurant to be cooked
You don't take your own vinyl to the sign shop to be made into a sign

This is primarily set up to help all the weekend warriors, hobbyists and stay-at-home parents with their little cricut toys and wall decorators.

Smells like a monopoly is forming.

They made their case that they don't have a monopoly. They would have about 10 years ago, but between Sams, Costco and Amazon they are working hard to keep the business. I for one don't buy much there anymore.

Meh I don't really see an issue here, if someone were to come to me with their own vinyl I would simply reduce the cost of the sign by my cost for the. Into since everything else is the same, and explain that I can no longer offer a warrantee on the vinyl portion of the sign. So there $500 sign would now be a $460 sign with no warrantee.

home depot has been selling 2x4's for years, don't see carpenters getting upset.

I'm in Canada so I'm going to check my local staples store, when I have a small job it would actually help me. The place where I have to get my vinyl is about half hr away, and staples is about five minutes away. So please don't hate.
