Hello, I'm new here so bear with me on my response and question I have. First I ran into an issue printing on clear static cling vinyl, there was a print side and a cling side, it made a difference because the adheasion was better on one side and too smooth on the other side. Peeling the wax
paper backing off exposes the static cling side and the other side as it comes off the roll is the smoother printable surface. The decals I experimented with would not stick to the auto window if placed printed/smooth side on the window, there was bubbling underneath the surface and curling on the edges. Another problem I encountered is if you want to read the decal from outside the car you have to reverse the lettering to read from that side properly. Perhaps different cling vinyl manufacturer's have 2 print or cling sides, I don't know? But in my case the summa static cling has the characteristics I explained.
I would like to know if there is a high quality Static cling vinyl. I wasn't happy with the air bubbles and distortion I seen even when the decals were placed proper cling side down. It had what looks like water in between the surface and air trapped in between. I need something that looks better.
Thank you I look forward to your respose(s)
