One of my beloved Summa D60 U plotters has developed the annoying habit of stopping in the middle of cut jobs, sitting for 10-15 seconds, then shooting forward 5 feet before beeping and acting like it's resetting. This is not real conducive to actually getting any work done with it.
I've watched the display when this has happened and nothing flashes like it's losing power (power supply replaced six months ago). This all occurs after FlexiSigns Production Manager has completely sent the file. The USB cable was swapped out with one from another Summa plotter and we still have the same problem.
Also, while I'm at it, this plotter occassionally "forgets" to pull vinyl forward. When cutting these plotters usually roll out four feet of vinyl, cut that, then roll out four more feet (guessing at the length) and cut that, continuing until the job is complete. Sometimes, however, this thing will "forget" to roll out the vinyl, try to cut it, then give me an axis error when the tension is too high.
Any ideas?
